A lot of people have dogs, so I did some looking around, to see what I could find out about them. Here is a summery of what I fond.
Around 15000 years ago the gray wolf was domesticated in East Asia, and reached North America around 8000 B.C. Today there are over 400 million dogs in the world. Dogs can have short, long, thin, thick, straight, curly, smooth, coarse, or no fur. The smallest dog in the world is a Yorkshire Terrier that is 63 mm at the shoulder, 95 mm in length and has a mass of only 113 g. The biggest dog in the world is an English Mastiff that is 250 cm long, and had a mass of 155.6 kg. The tallest dog in the world is a Great Dane that is 106.76 cm at the shoulder. The longer a dogs muzzle the better their senses are. Some dogs can see up to a mile, and have a 270° field of vision, compared to the 180° field of vision for humans. Dogs can hear from 40 Hz to 60000 Hz, much better than humans. Dogs have 18 muscles to move, tilt, and rotate their ears, helping them locate sounds faster. They live an average of 10 to 13 years, but small dogs usually live shorter and big dogs live longer. The longest verified lifespan for a dog is 24 years.

Poll news
Wow! A lot of people have dogs. The poll says that of the people that voted 100% have dogs, 66% have cats, 66% have fish, 33% have a reptile, 66% have something else. I will use this info to know what to type about. Next it is all about the dog.
Thank you to all the people that have voted on my polls, but I would like it if every one who goes on my blog could vote. Thank you.

Happy Birthday Buddy!
Happy Birthday Buddy! My black Lab is now two years old. Look ing back we have made it so far from when we got him. We got him from a family that was starting their own bisness, and insted of traning the dog they wocked on the bisness, so buddy was still going in the houses, he jumped, he barked, he didn't sit, or come to his name, he got away with everything, pulled, and chased the cats! To train him we tock it one step at a time. To house brake him, when ever we saw him going to go he'd drag him to the door, he soon got the idea (thank goodness). To get rid of the jumping we are telling him to sit when being patted(he can't jump when he is sitting), if he stands up we pull him away and move on so he leans not to jump(we are still working on this but it is getting better). The barking was the hardest one to deal with, when ever he started to bark we'd tell him "no!" and if he didn't stop we'd give him a time out (tiy him up in the bathroom), like kids, dogs don't like time out. We did owr best not to treat train Buddy, to teach him to come and sit we whould call him befor we go for a walk or give him his food(if you try this, have him come befor you open enything, because then the dog will hear you opening the stuff and come to that and not you.), befor he got to leave the houses or get his food we made him sit(now he comes to his name every time and sits... sometimes.). When we walked him pull and as soon as he started to pull we would turn around and go the other way, treahing him that when he pulls he dosen't get to go where he wants to go. He still pulls when he wonts to meet a new dog, and so times even bracks, some people take this as him being mean, but he is just overly friendy(we are hoping that as we get him better socialized this will go away but only time will tell). He has stoped chasing the cats, I think this is because Tomas scratched Buddy's nose almost off. Luckly Buddy is great in the car and dose not go after food. I am happy he is owr dog!

Turkey Bones
Today my 1-year-old black lab (buddy) stole a turkey bone. This is a bad thing, because turkey bones snap and will cut the dogs insides, making internal bleeding. I think he is o.k. , because he is acting normal (for himself), and he's bin through worst.
